Emily Lu Aldrich is the founder of Accolade Publicity and Consulting Inc., a full‐service film and television public relations firm specializing in awards consulting, theatrical and streaming campaigns, and film festival representation. Accolade’s mission is to deliver first class publicity services to clients ranging from traditional film studios and streaming services to independent distributors and filmmakers. Clients include IFC Films, Amazon Studios, Netflix, Apple TV+, Magnolia Pictures, Oscilloscope Laboratories, Divide/Conquer, and Soapbox Films.
Before forming Accolade, Aldrich worked as Vice President of National Publicity at Shelter PR. While at Shelter PR, she led the Bohemian Rhapsody craft awards campaign to three Oscar nominations and three Oscar wins.
Prior to Shelter PR, Aldrich was the Senior Director of Publicity & Awards at Focus Features where she collaborated with notable filmmakers such as Paul Thomas Anderson, Joe Wright, Tom Ford, Tom Hooper, and Jeff Nichols. While at Focus, Aldrich oversaw the craft awards campaigns for The Phantom Thread and The Darkest Hour which resulted in multiple Oscar wins.
Aldrich also previously served as the Director of National Publicity for Strategy PR/Consulting heading up the West Coast operations for the company. While at Strategy PR/Consulting, she worked on film festival, theatrical, and awards campaigns for projects such as Richard Linklater’s Boyhood, James Ponsoldt’s The End Of The Tour and The Spectacular Now, David Lowry’s Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, Denis Villeneuve’s Enemy, Joe Swanberg’s Digging For Fire, Happy Christmas, and Drinking Buddies, Lynn Ramsey’s We Need To Talk About Kevin, Evan Glodell’s Bellflower, Paul Greengrass’s Captain Phillips, Nicholas Jarecki’s Arbitrage, Bart Layton’s The Imposter, Joe Berlinger’s Under African Skies, and Sacha Gervasi’s Anvil!
